Kevin is totally an asshole. I mean it takes him days before he even misses his family when he thinks he made them disappear and he just carries in with life. It's only when he's going to spend Christmas alone that he actually cares. He doesn't bother telling them about the robbery or even think about how he baaically ruined their vacation.
