There was r/controllablecameras, but it looks like it's gone. It was a dumping ground for people to post unlocked cameras, or cameras people had set up but just kept default logins. That place was really fun, kinda sad to see it's gone.

Fun highlight from that sub: someone found a camera that was in some fat old lady's bedroom and it had a built-in speaker. Whan she went to bed, fully nude, someone piped in "Every Breath You Take" by The Police. She just kinda sat up and stared toward the camera for a while before getting up to figure out how to turn it off. She genuinely looked terrified.

There was a craze on YouTube back in 2015 called IP Cam Trolling. Basically, it's what @DiarrheaDick described.

There was a channel where some guy would hurl insults into whichever camera he could hack into. One video had him roasting two boomers chatting in their living rooms. Both guys turned around with that dumb "WTF" cow-eyed stare right into the camera. Funny shit.
