Where we at with old sitcoms?

Totally agree, I find myself laughing out loud watching that show.
The Beav always goes into things with the best of intentions, only to discover that his every instinct was wrong. Then Wally tells him that's just the way life is and there's nothing he can do about it. It's like a clinic on how to psychologically destroy a child.

Nobody’s mentioned Cheers, which is my go-to. It always works for me, except for Season 5 when Diane was written like a cartoon character, and some of Rebecca’s arcs are obnoxious.Coach Ernie Pantusso is an all-time great character (first few seasons) and who doesn’t enjoy Lilith? Hall of Fame characters.

If you haven’t watched Taxi - which is before my time - it’s worth it. Slow in parts but expertly written and performed.
