As for whether it's worth seeing - I would say yes if you see it on the big screen and don't have huge expectations for it. There's some great moments but overall it's nothing particularly amazing and Daniel Craig's performance is weird in this one. He plays him as an everyman and it ends up feeling more like a generic action movie than a Bond film.
I'd say it's about 6-7/10 as far as Bond movies go.

Then there's the bit with all the gadgets. Then there's an action scene where the villain gains the upper hand. The useless side-chick has some insight, setting up the big finale.
Final scene is corny dialogue that's one second away from just ending on a freeze frame.
