I'm willing to bet my Wellington recipe that Raven did some Kaczynski-style CIA shit on Pat - if not to bolster her own skills as a psychologist but to train her chubby retarded child to behave/be better.

But Mama Raven seems to have no presence in Patrick's life at all, meanwhile Mama Robinson is buying him special presents.

Everything we think we know about Mama Raven and Papa Clown might just be another lie from the most unreliable of narrators. They could have realized their son was a fat, lazy, stupid, unathletic brat and "gave up" when they realized what a dud he was. Called him child and little one whenever he'd try to butt his opinion in. Didn't bother motivating him to join a sport or after school activity. Postgrad tried to get him to attend a technical college to learn a trade, but he weaseled his way into the good graces of Ade's, and then Niki's families.

He sure does love talking about "found" families. Mama Raven didn't ever support my artistic brilliance, but I "found" Mama Robinson to be my benefactor.

Great point here about both of the parents. Everything we know about them is just from what he says, right? Obviously,he’s a known pathological liar so there really isn’t any reason to believe any of it. I always thought the #DLTIW shit sounded like some lame Hollywood backstory so I’ve got no reason to believe it’s true at all or anything else we think we know about either of them.
