The device was a PIR sensor that was malfunctioning. It is connected to an LED mood lightbar behind the headboard of the bed.
While she was asleep the light kept turning/flickering on/off.
Jackie assumed that the "hidden surveillance device" was taking flash photography of her.
So she gets out her 99$ RF scanner (all Cyber Security professionals carry them at all times) to scan the offending object.
She then complained to hotel staff for attention (instead of just turning off the light strip or covering the PIR)
Then made a twitter video to show everyone how she is retarded/a cybersecurity pro.
