It ruled. Hadn't seen it since childhood. Still hilarious. Some really inspired bullshit. It reminded me of the Simpsons' good old days.
Great movie. It still holds. Recommend watching Police Squad. The show is even better than the movie.

From Kentucky Fried Movie to Naked Gun, I don't think there's many directors who had such great runs of films in comedy, except maybe Mel Brooks (I totally forgot about High Anxiety in that thread about Mel, and that's fucking amazing).

Top Secret! doesn't get much love, but Kilmer was excellent.

It's a classic. I haven't seen the third, but the second one is pretty good too. Leslie Nielsen was a legend. Of course they are remaking it with Liam Neeson and im sure it will 99.9% be fucking terrible.

I think it'll be fine. It has one of the Lonely Island kids directing, the same one who directed Hot Rod and MacGruber if I remember right. And I really liked MacGruber.

Neeson is dry, which is what Nielsen was at his best. Whenever he went over the top, like "Dracula Dead and Loving It", his humour bombed. His scene in Ted 2 was actually pretty funny, so I'll give it a chance.

I still want a third Hot Shots though.
