This movie should have been good, but most people shit on it for good reason.
There was nothing wrong with the whole idea of it. You can give me a baseball story with a love story intertwined and make it work but they just made the dialogue way too corny.
The love interest was also completely unlikable and not that attractive. Everything that came out of John C Reillys mouth made me want to punch him in the face with that forced smirk, no wonder he went to comedies shortly after this.
Somehow despite all this its still one of my guilty pleasures because Im a sucker for whimsical baseball movies.
