Oh that’s not enough? Get a government job and start collecting even more money. Oh you’re in the government job but you’re a veteran? Here’s a couple more extra weeks of leave.

Why do we give any reverence to post Korean War veterans? If you weren’t drafted go fuck yourself. You did it for the hubris or the benefits or you just had no other option. Stop acting like you’re a WW2 veteran because you spent a year in Kuwait, swimming in a pool and turning a wrench.

I had a couple of buddies go over there around that time to fuck shit up. One of them saw a lot of action. He said that they'd fly him and a few other guys over to a place in a helicopter, he'd slide down a rope, blow open a door and murder a hand full of people, then be back at base in time for the next meal. Wash, rinse, repeat till they sent him home. It really fucked him up mentally. He told me he probably killed 30 people if he had to guess. I'm ok with cutting that dude a check.

He went to the Army right after high school, was stationed in Italy, and only worked on communications and intelligence. Never was in combat.

What pisses me off the most is he's the type who constantly complains about jews and blacks. Talks about how money is wasted on social issues like wokeness and DEI.

It's very annoying, especially when you're someone who is an actual hard worker. It's even more annoying when you have a bother who's a decorated marine who fought in Iraq for 3 deployments and he doesn't even take advantage of the gibs.

I'd love to see an overall crack down on abused military benefits but it'll never happen. We will continue to pay to a large amount of money to individuals who don't deserve it.
