Pretty much tuning out until the main event. Adesanya was crying at the press conference and coming off of a loss. No one aside from Randy Coutre has been a three time champion so odds are stacked in DDP's favor.

The variance in card quality is so extreme from week to week. I'm into the sport enough that it doesn't matter, but how are new/casual fans supposed to be engaged?

I've been a fan since pre-UFC 1 going back to the early Pancrase days. Went through all the UFC shows; Vale Tudo shows in Brazil; all the Japanese stuff up to and including PRIDE; Strikeforce; WEC and the even smaller US shows that used to have name fighters, etc. and yet I have never had less interest in the sport. I only watch the UFC shows with fights I want to see now which are getting fewer and fewer year by year. I have a black belt with Renzo and I still don't even give that much of a shit anymore. They diluted it to the point only the most casual of fans or people who are so hardcore they simply can't stand to miss anything would ever give a shit about it.
