The worm does a ton of a uncle paul in this, even though it bombs every time. Not that it was too offensive of anything but it’s the exact same joke over and over again regardless of the context so it gets boring.

Then towards the end of the show some porn whores come on (both of which have well over a million followers online now, way more than anyone in the o&a universe has combined) and Nana brings up niggers so much that it even offends Lazlow. Of course after Lazlow says he lost his mind in a serious way Nana gets offended and backs off. It’s funny the first time but just like the worm he can’t stop saying the same shit ad nauseum.

People here always say the show really started going downhill around this time and this is probably one of the best examples of that I’ve heard.

Tying into what you were saying about them hitting the wall, staff fights started to become way more prevalent towards the end. Sal becoming a staff member saw it get to ridiculous levels (and it's kind of understandable because he's just awful) but it's a crutch to make up for the cellar table guys having been on a zillion times and the new guests being total duds.

Vos, Patrice, Burr, and others repeatedly complained to both Anthony and Norton that they were not capable of doing their own show without Opie. When Vos came in to tell his 'burned my condo down' story he did it on a Nopie show and it was impossible for him to tell the story properly. Anthony and Norton were like two retards who could not focus on Vos's story. So Vos just gave up talking to them.

The next day Opie was back and Vos told the exact same story practically starting it verbatim. But this time he had Opie to anchor him and it actually made for good radio. And you could follow the conversation. This would happen all of the time with Nopie shows. Where Anthony and Norton would get the opportunity for good radio and trash it with nothing but old movie references or Norton's characters. No one could do anything normally with those two acting like morons together. But during shows without Norton you would get stuff like 'misheard song lyrics' where Opie could control the bit and not have to fight off faggots Anthony and Norton simultaneously to do a radio show.

If you listen to the 'misheard song lyrics' bit you can hear Anthony repeatedly tell Opie that the bit isn't working at the beginning and trying to stop the show and move on to something else. But Opie just pushes through and it became an all time classic.
