This coon’s body of work outside of The Wire is embarrassing

Live and Let Die and Dr No in particular - references to "Chingros" - "half Chinaman, half Negro and the ugliest people alive" and descriptions of "rubber lips" etc. Fleming was considered a racist even by his peers.
I forget which one it was but he goes to a black club where they’re doing literal jungle music and he smells weed then says, “of course, where else but here?”

I remember being a kid in school one period of English a week we had to read one of the books from the bookshelf in the class and do a report on it. “Oh! The Spy who loved me? “ I like James Bond an eleven year old me thought. The next week was spent wondering when James Bond was coming into the story and why the bitch kept telling us her knickers were wet

Craig's movies stink out loud. Only Casino Royale was good and that's because it was written before he was involved.
They got too cucked by the Bourne movies. They had to make Bond le gritty and realistic tacticool action operator when the series has absolutely never been about that. It's cool spy fantasy pseudo-capeshit for boring guys.
But they tried so hard to force Skyfall as some kind of oscar-bait "deep" bond movie despite it making zero sense for Craig's 007 and should have been when they get grey-haired Brosnan to come back to get peace with Dench's M.
Don't even get me started on the shitshows of QoS and SPECTRE.
But you see MR. BOND... IT WAS ALL TIED TOGETHER MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Fuck off.
At least in No Time to Die they got the fuck out of the Blofeld plot as soon as they could. Lol.
I like casino royale too, quantum of solace was so bad I stopped watching bond movies

They’re hilariously racist.

I thought he was good in Beasts of No Nation.

That's about it. But to be fair, I think that's more of a Hollywood thing than one of talent. A lot of good actors just get unlucky and get hired for shitty roles. Robert Patterson kinda kneecapped his career by starring in a pulpy film for teenage girls and he spent a decade bouncing around in obscurity before he could show of his chops in something like The Lighthouse, and that lead to a minor renaissance of his career that immediately went down in flames because they put him in movies that were guaranteed to bomb. Many such cases.

Sounds like Live and Let Die. Harlem, before he goes to Jamiaca.
I’m like 95% sure you’re right. I have the book but I haven’t read it in a while. They’re pretty funny but I wouldn’t call them good books by any measure.
