I initially (wrongly) thought it could be an Indonesian (they have little/no understanding of Arabic but maybe Im being too harsh on them, maybe even Indonesians wouldn't make this blasphemous error).
Anyway. JABBAR is one of the 99 attributes of ALLAH mentioned in the Quran. It's a Divine attribute and cannot apply to people. Jabbar means MIGHTY.
A Muslim can only possibly be: "ABDUL-JABBAR" (servant of the mighty). Remember Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? That's the proper way to name the name.
This was either someone who was just as "Muslim" as "Jamal" and "Lateefah" common black names independent of Islam, or someone purposefully being blasphemous. Again, only ALLAH is Al-Jabbar.
