Has there ever been a greater negro?

Sad that the negro has been ran out of baseball. The greatest American athlete of all time, Ty Cobb, was a big fan of the negro leagues. He wanted to play against the best players, whatever color.

Guys like Satchel Paige, Hank Aaron, Roy Campanella, Willie Mays were upstanding men who negro youth with no father (redundant) could look up to.

Even recent times guys like Barry Bonds, Ricky Henderson, Reggie Jackson, Dave Winfield...tons of negros at the top of the game. Now there is basically nobody. All the same vanilla rich white boys and low IQ Caribbean Latinos. Can’t even tell players apart anymore.

I was surprised reading about Ty Cobb that he was VERY in favor of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier. But like you said, he was a fierce competitor, and he wanted to beat the best. Cobb was easily one of the greatest hitters of that era.. if not the best

When did that hatchet job against Ty Cobb's reputation begin, and why? Now everyone just automatically believes the story that he was racist.
well that faggot Stump wrote that book about Cobb, which later was turned into a movie. The movie is funny as shit, if ridiculously inaccurate. But the book was written without spending much actual time with Cobb, though he made it seem like they were friends. It was later discredited as "sensationalized and, in large part, fictional" but the damage was done.

A journalist named Al Stump interviewed Ty Cobb before the latter's death. Years later Stump wrote a bibliography about Cobb making up a those lies about him being racist, spiking his shoes, murdering a black, fighting fans, etc... just to sell books. He also forged Ty Cobb's signature on memorabilia to sell. By all accounts Cobb was a pretty modest guy who hated fame and thought anyone who idolized sports figures were crazy.

It's pathetic that people still choose to believe in those lies despite there being no evidence. Especially since he never had the chance to defend himself. Overall shithead and giant faggot Michael Wilbon still believes in those myths.

Nice biography, stupid

Cobb was a good egg and real ass dude. He came in right after the civil war froM Bumfuck Georgia into Detroit. Was treated like garbage right away seeing as he was a 19 year old coming to take grown men’s jobs. This is when baseball was like a beer league and guys were real wolves about playing time and their jobs. He became pretty cold, was unfriendly with mostly everyone, and had a real chip on his shoulder. Said home Runs mixed with greedy owners would ruin the game. Babe Ruth was just a drunk fat man. Cobb ruled.
