The Opster didn’t hate Anthony. He was a fag who considered him a best friend because he was a radio partner. Anthony was the one who hated Opie. Why? because he was unfunny. If Opie hated Anthony it was because he was bringing groupies into the show, or sleeping on air, or coming in hungover, or not coming in. Shit that affects the show. But Opie never put Anthonys face on a pillow to punch. How much do you think Jim was making at Sirius compared to Ant? Ant could have easily matched his salary and Jim himself said this. To him it was about job security. Opies point is that if that faggot worm loves Ant so much why doesn’t he AT LEAST appear on his fucking shows more? Sam is also ultra corporate and not a maniac like Opie or Anthony where they would antagonize management and practically dare them to fire the show. Sam also was good at self promotion and hardworking when he first started the J&S show. Obviously now he has given up in every aspect of his life but Sirius can't exactly complain when the company also puts in zero effort.

Sam was also a good producer for O&A who could hold his own on the air as a fourth microphone during segments like Jocktober. And Sam was a good interviewer when it came to subjects he understood like WWE. Obviously they never expected him to lead the show, as Jim is the 'face' of the show. But without someone like Opie to guide both Sam and Jim they are rudderless and not capable of putting on even a passable show. They don't need Opie himself but they need an 'Opie' to get them to actually engage and be interesting.

If they all would have walked away together they would be in far better shape now and made more money. Considering Opie was fired 5 years ago and Norton said he was leaving because the contract is so little. This is also assuming Anthony has lost money since 2014.
