Pat and Nikki were on screen less than 90 seconds. The fact that those two shots were included lets me know without a doubt that there was very little filmed that day that NBC would even consider including. The shot in the kitchen just made no sense at all, even as B roll. Unless there was so little usable footage that day that the show was forced to include such a nothing moment. They couldn't even find 10 seconds of viable B roll to fill time while the news reader carried on with the story.

Nice life, little nothings. Your big moment finally came and it wasn't even a moment at all.
