It's hard to find a doctor that doesn't try to force you to follow the CDC recommended scheduling. There are kick backs they get for keeping kids on the schedule so it's incentivized from the top down. Of course their bottom line is more important than actually providing care their customers request so there are lots of doctors that will refer you elsewhere so they can get more obedient patients and more money. A good example of detrimental government intervention in healthcare. Like you said though if you find a good doctor they won't force it, ours has never brought it up after we declined most shots and we avoid anything that would require shots. Living in a rural area makes that pretty easy.
