I used to think it was rude to not take your shoes off at somebody else's house. I thought it assumed a level of familiarity you might not have had. Nobody challenged me on this.

I mean it is normal...loads of mofos don't have no shoes policies in their house, though it is gross. Plenty where I'd assume they would are indoor shoe people. Ideally our house would be no shoes but in practice it just ain't happening. I try to limit wearing them in most of the house but if I need to run to my room to grab something when I'm leaving I ain't taking them off. I certainly ain't lounging around in my shoes, unless I'm leaving again right away, them bitches are coming off. And I'm in and out in socks or barefoot all the time. I don't hold it against people for having no shoes rules though, except Rick Glassman.
