I’ve exchanged a few words with my companies CEO, I would never claim to “know” them. He’s implying he knows them on such a level he understands how they think and that they are so comfortable around him they’ll insult him because they know how smart and awesome he is and that he can take it as constructive criticism.

CEOs of companies the size of Microsoft might talk aggressively to the people who report directly to them, such as vice presidents or directors, heads of departments etc - but they are not going to insult rank and file workers. If they see something they don’t like from them, they’ll pass it down the chain for their line manager to reprimand them and if they see something they really don’t like, they’ll fire them on the spot without emotion.

The social contract is different for people who can make millions from bonuses and stock awards each year and people like Shane who use their expired employee discount card to frighten children on Xbox live.

This fat cutlery-fucker has NEVER been in the same room with Ballmer, Gates or a woman he was dating under 350lb. At the MOST he was shown an employee video message with all the other folks in his customer service call center ("Hi employees!
