When I see the videos of young Ukrainian men being kidnapped and sent to die in trenches while their leadership steals billions for their own wealth, I think “good, at least there isn’t peace” because I can think for myself and I’ve come to my own conclusion that Putin is basically Voldemort.
The videos of the forced conscription where screaming mothers are beaten for trying to save their boys might make me think something is wrong, but then I remember I can just call them fake and the mothers will be jailed by Zelenskyy for speaking out and I don’t feel bad anymore.
