It was like a TV sitcom episode. Joe is getting henpecked about money. He sees an ad for "cruise ship musician wanted". He goes to some shady temp agency, and they bullshit him into signing up, for a big cut of his earnings. He cartwheels home, and tells the family he's been hired as a star cruise ship guitar hero. He packs his two sweatshirts, his sunglasses, and his sunblock, dreaming of his luxurious paid vacation. He shows up, they treat him like the Filipino help. He barely survives, comes home, and blows the remainder of his check by Monday. Everyone eyerolls, roll credits. Classic buffoonery, like a low-budget Gleason with none of the charisma.

He had some dental students pull his teeth probably for $300 about 4 months after the cruise. Don’t worry though, he took two separate vacations to casinos in the meantime.
