He felt pressured by them and it had a psychological impact. They look at your data and then let you know what the deal is. Hmm.
Definitely something more than waterfall and museum pics. Stuff that can't be uploaded to the cloud
I admire their hustle but they should have handed it over to the authorities

Vapid leiah story of the day:
I went to one of those places a long time ago because I had spilled a soda on my laptop and fried it. My boyfriend let me borrow me 2 giant external hard drives idk I guess they were a thing back then.
This Russian jerkoff told me oh spilling soda is so much worse than water because the sugar conducts electricity or whatever
I was like lemme stop you right there. It was a diet coke. And he said oh that's even worse! With no explanation
I just felt like he was fat shaming me like when people say ohh you got a diet coke with your value meal that makes it healthy 🙄

So I just took my worthless laptop and left. Forgot the hard drives. Few months later my boyfriend got fired from his job and had to give them back. I called the place and of course they didn't have them anymore. So he had to pay for them. And I never got my data back.

"So it was, that I found myself with a not inconsiderable need for a remedy which required the services of a professional. Though most would refer to it as data recovery, the services I was in need of were, if I may coin a neologism, more akin to data disentanglement. Nevertheless, this particular specialist fit the bill, and his services were enlisted..."

When is this faggot gonna grow some balls and finally kill himself?

My guess is that these guys would have done this for a tenth of the cost but realized that they had a complete idiot on their hands and jacked it up. Imagine his e-mails to them.

he got 256GB of photos back for - over three thousand dollars. This is a completely insane price and most people would say "No, give me back the drives".

I assume that there were - special - pictures on these and Paul didn't think they could see them.

This fucking mook

"The mechanic wanted me to take my car to him before he gave me a price on fixing it."
"This specialized skill that also requires expensive equipment charges a lot of money for their service!"

What a melt. Handed over $3500 for data that was likely some of his shitty photoshoots that no-one, anywhere, ever, would miss.
Instead of saying, "no thanks, post them back to me" and sending them $10.

PDF.file that has been on the internet and using computers since at least 2000, learnt his lesson in 2023 about backups.
Nothing Paul has ever taken a picture of is of worth to anyone (paul included) other than 'Darknet' users (paul included).
