I suspect there's a "No Blue Check - Ever!" flag set on his account that whatever danger-haired file trading partner that's been shielding him from the consequences of his actions has been unable to remove; and I'm guessing that's stopping him paying for Twitter Blue as well.

It's so funny that they want to boycott Twitter so bad but they can't bring themselves to leave the fucking place, so they end up doing pathetic no consequence passive aggressive shit like this.

This is actually a great move on Elon's part. He's just doing what every other social media platform has already done, giving users the ability to monetize their content. Twitter was already a source of income for jannies, shills and bot farms but all the money went off-site, now Elmo's making sure there's an internal revenue stream. Smart because it gives a good incentive to most users to stick around and support him, and the ones that are likely to be negatively effected by this already hate him anyway so fuck 'em.

I don't care either which way about the man but his Twitter reforms all seem positive and likely to bear fruit and it's hilarious how every single one of them makes spastics like Rick howl in despair.
