I was just thinking about why he did the article he did, and with all the cybervictim stuff, the goal always seems to be attention - but it never really occurred to me to ask - to what end? Pat is, apparently, a science fiction author - he is not an advocate, while he fancies himself a political firebrand he has, in his life, made exactly 0.00 dollars from his political work. His awareness raising efforts have made him a morbid curiosity for hundreds, and a puddle of pity for a dozen, but it's not something he can package and sell, or even run ads on, he has no desire to stream his experience, no desire to speak about it at public forums (cons are about writing, not surviving this horrible traumatic thing the stlakers have done to him), he doesn't even translate it into his comedy. There is no IndieGoGo to pay for his move to California where he can finally feel safe. Anita Sarkeesian and Briana Wu had rabid supporters because their activism is intrinsically part of their career path as advocates, Patrick advocates for others, he is at best, one of the rabid supporters, and at worst, an annoying, embarrassing and superfluous voice in an already crowded shouting match. With maybe 4 exceptions, he doesn't have rabid supporters, and by being his own loudest, most deranged supporter he looks fucking insane - and none of it leads to any good coming to him.
tl;dr Pat's fucking stupid.
