Orwell = unnecessary / Huxley = PFG?

I haven't actually read Orwell, but I think I understand the gist of his books. Censorship and tyrannical regimes are bad, pretty much? Isn't that to state the fawkin obvious though?

Meanwhile, Huxley's Brave New World is probably more of a revelation, more universal since it deals with problems in our own nature, and therefore more timeless and relevant today. I think he isn't as popular because he's more uncomfortable than someone who lets you blame all your problems on some scapegoat (the government, the LIBTARDS and the media maaan).

In today's world, yes. However, 1984 was written 4 years after the end of WW2. The only shit people had to go on was what news and the state told them. People weren't questioning governance like they are today.
