It's a collection of most of the world's book catalogs compiled into a single database, overwhelmingly library ones. It's mainly used by college students and academics searching for research material.

Ooga's a retard for whining about this because the average consumer doesn't use it and it wouldn't hurt his bottom line if they did, because the point of the site is to be informative in terms of where and how to access a certain publication. It includes Amazon links and stuff like that but that doesn't make it a web-store. The ratings system is practically vestigial because most people who browse the catalog already have a good idea what they're looking for going in.
