Lets think about this. They were arguing for this shit maybe post 2008? Howard had a visual element in studio for 10+ years at this point and it made sense. A lot of the bits were visual. I understand why you would want to SEE a girl ride the Sybian instead of HEARING it. Seeing Beetlejuice talk is not as good as seeing his little head doing it. My point is, by the 2008+ Howard had all but stopped making real use of the in studio cameras to record shit that just NEEDED to be seen, it was just there because it was an established thing at that point.

There is nothing, and I seriously mean nothing, on the O&A show that you NEED to see. If there WAS a camera in studio, the only thing you would see is Norton looking at his phone, Opie picking his nose, and Anthony getting all of his funny lines from Instant Feedback. Even “visual bits” like Babybird, or Big Boy Made a Doodie, or the time Pat Duffy (?) almost beat the shit out of Sam for throwing objects at him, were all recorded and put online. Its almost like they didn’t need a 24/7 in studio camera set up.

Edit: And i forgot to mention the obvious: That when Ant started Compound he INSISTED on the visual element despite it making 0 difference to his show besides possibly harming it by people having to see his ugly fucking morrocan face.

Pretty much anytime O&A did something visual it was Opie doing it on his own. And when Anthony did his Compound show a few times from his house Sirius warned him he would be suspended if he did it again. Company was run by morons.

- Steven Singer and Ashley Madison video advertisements every fifteen minutes
- Contests and bits that required a visual aid nonstop pretty much ruining the radio version of the show, the radio show would be secondary
- O&A getting suspended within the first year from whatever station they were on for showing porn or a beheading video
- O&A getting permanently fired for showing Two Girls One Cup on the show uncensored
- Callers would be constantly calling in insulting their clothing choices or appearances, ripping on them for being ugly
