Night terrors and nightmares

I was having dinner with the fambly and talked about how I had the worst night terror the previous night, where there was a demon crushing my ribs, and I woke up struggling to breathe.

It's like that "night hag" thing people experience:

I get this a lot, and have nightmares every single night.

Nobody else in my family said they even have nightmares (and didn't even believe the demon thing). So I'm the only one in my family who has constant nightmares and night terrors, so it isn't genetic.

I was suggested maybe I have anxiety or depression, which I definitely don't have, and I said they were fags for suggesting that.

How do you stop nightmares? When I google I get the same stupid "anxiety" shit.

How do you do it? I stopped dreaming a long time ago. I used to have dreams that were so fucked up, so devastating, that I would wake up already crying. Shit was weird as hell.
Have you ever had a dream where something really funny happened, and you woke up laughing?

I wish I could remember what was so funny in those dreams, like was it actually funny? Or just my brain playing tricks on me?

Get a sleep test done, you may simply have sleep apnea - failing that you may:
  • be raped by a sleep-monster
  • live in a house built on a a burial ground with poltergeist planning to rape you
  • some demon followed you home and is hiding in your attic/closet waiting to rape you
What I'm saying here, one way or another, no matter what you do, is this is probably going to end in rape...

Nope, can result from placement of the jaw while sleeping (most likely nortons issue) but also chemical reactions in brain, anything really - your brain is a complex thing, it can fuck up in lots of ways. Keep track of what you eat before these experiences - that might be affecting body chemistry etc. Being overweight doesn't help.

But probably...
