Is it worth listening to? I can’t even remember the last time I was excited to watch a new special. Mike Vecchione’s was PFG. It’s free on YouTube. I miss good standup.

I'd say yeah, even though Redbar is right about Tony in pretty much every way and especially about the censorship shit Tony talks about towards the beginning of the set. I definitely laughed a few times and that's something not much makes me do anymore. It's not genius or anything but laughing is fun.

I found him through GAS Digital podcasts so he’s in that circle. It’s low energy/deadpan “jokey jokes” which I like more than really animated comics running around the stage. It’s worth a listen for sure. I haven’t listened to Jeselnik in forever (I did like his material though) but I wouldn’t say it’s gallows humor like that.

I don’t really understand why he did that but from what I’ve heard in the last few years that seems to be the case. Last special I watched of his was pretty good though. Fire in the Maternity Ward, I believe.

I liked Jeselnik’s new special but he does have a weird inflection that’s different from how he used to talk. It’s not more nasally but something like that? I assume he did too much blow or something.
He ends the special ripping on Joe Rogan fans and telling a great Norm story. The special was fine overall, he seems to recognize how one note his stuff is and he’s trying to evolve but it’s pretty much all just “normal setup/OFFENSIVE PUNCHLINE” stuff.
