I loved Prometheus and the parts of covenant about David. That was an interesting story to tell, but obviously they just went straight back to boring paint by numbers monster horror. Oh well.

The first and second one are good movies. You can stop there and you wont be missing anything. Just like terminator and predator. Just stop at the first two and never be disappointed in how the franchise was ran into the ground.Another movie series I've never seen.
I did play the games on PS1 though.
I watched First Blood for the first time a month ago and was told the same thing for that series. The first and second one are good movies. You can stop there and you wont be missing anything. Same here.I loved Prometheus and the parts of covenant about David. That was an interesting story to tell, but obviously they just went straight back to boring paint by numbers monster horror. Oh well.
So how was it watching it as an adult for the first time? Does it hold up? Since I watched it as a kid when it was new and popular, I obviously have a nostalgia bias. Were you expecting an 80's shoot'em up action movie? ( The 2nd and 3rd are like that) but the first one is actually a lot different and some would say " has more heart". Rocky is similar where the first one isnt a total meathead movie like the sequels.I watched First Blood for the first time a month ago and was told the same thing for that series.
I think the third one is a bit underrated, but I had no interest in anything after. The first and second one are good movies. You can stop there and you wont be missing anything. Well the sequels are more if youβre in the mood for a big mindless action movie, you could have it on while youβre doing something else and wonβt miss any major plot points. The 4th is better than the 3rd at least - that was why Stallone did the 4th one, to make up for the 3rd one (same with Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6) was made to make up for Rocky 5)I watched First Blood for the first time a month ago and was told the same thing for that series.
