It's fine.

Colin Farrel is really good.

I never bothered to learn the urban youth's name, but he does the job of being the urban youth just fine.

It makes no sense why The Penguin would team up with an urban youth. That part feels forced.

You can tell its written by a woman.

Episodes 1-3 are great.

Episode 4 is bad. Probably on her period when she wrote this one.

Probably downhill from here.

SPOILER

Farrell gave an interview where he said "see if you still like him by episode 8."

Conclusion? Cobb is going to do the worst thing he could do. What's that? Probably killing either his mother or the spicgro kid he basically adopted. "Twist" ruined. Nice going, you dumb Irish fuck.
you nailed it

Finished it the other day. Fuck the oncoming carcrashes I liked it. I'd definitely recommend watching all of it, gets pretty brutal towards the end.

There's definitely enough that's great about it to make up for its weaknesses, which it 100% does have. For example the Salvatore Maroni character just felt like an afterthought. He's in prison for most of it and you don't really get to see any of that and then when he gets out, he's killed in a pretty dumb way. The rest of it is pfg though.

It wasn't a bad show. It just felt like it never had its own identity. Collin Ferrell is doing James Gandolfini in a decent mob storyline, but it's in a fictional comic book city and also the main comic book character won't ever show up

This is episodic? Fuck the world

TV is really hard to watch these days. The resolution of a plot point in most TV shows is half way through an episode now because they're desperate to end on a cliffhanger.

I pause halfway through an episode now, and watch the second half and first half of the next episode as one episode, because just like Breaking Bad they force a twist into the last minute. It's boring. The reversal should come at the halfway point, not 60 seconds before the end.

Season 3 was rough but I think for the most part they did a good job. I really like Cobra Kai but I can only watch it with commentary cuz it's so formulaic. The worst was the Walking Dead. It was such a fun concept but then they started stretching it until actors started quiting. I never finished it

Episode 5-8

Meh

Lots of reversals and twists every 2 minutes got boring.

Definitely felt like it was written by a woman on her period.

Not a bad show, but I would have preferred a slow burning thriller. Probably won't watch Season 2.

I heard that the 'creator' of Batman actually stole the character from another guy. Both of them happened to be Jewish too.
