I just bought an iPhone 16 IN CASH

It’s the exact same phone. It’s slightly faster but it’s identical, even the camera is the same. Why the fuck would people keep buying these every year? I only did it because my other one’s charger port is worn out.

I have no idea, I got sick of having to carefully maneuverer my phones charging cable so it stays charging and went to buy a new phone, I don’t understand financing them so I just bought the only phone they had in stock to buy which is a standard iPhone 16. It is fundamentally identical to my old one.

I’ve turned off AI and cloud and all that stupid shit. That’s quite funny if it’s the only selling point and I will never use it.

I have a friend who owns a flip phone. He's the kind of guy who buys everything with cash and refuses to own a new car because of "the wifi sending his data to the car manufacturers and insurance companies."

He's one of those super-smart mechanical handyman types who's uber-lnowledgable about a variety of subjects, but refuses to get with technology. I think he'd send email by homing pigeon if he could.
