one thing I learned living in NYC for 8 years was that I'm absolutely petrified to ride the subway. I'm incredibly scared and live my entire life in a constant state of fear and perceived terror. Even if nothing comes close to happening, plan on running away. Even an alpha, master race karate fighter like me will just run away from PM rush hour subway fear.
