I really can't decide whether I want this piece of shit published or not. On the one hand, pat on a continuing decline is very satisfying and well deserved. Dickens was definitely socially conscious, so it really wouldn't be out of place if you're writing fan fiction for his stories. The fact that he is shoehorning in a brexit joke and has never shown any knowledge or interest in that era of british history or any knowledge of anything in general makes me less than hopeful that he's going to be giving a realistic depiction of the underclass of london at that time. Even a relateable and somewhat modern depiction of poverty set in that time is probably way too much to ask for.
