This is a great example of how so many colleges offer degrees that will only earn you shit jobs that don’t even come close to justify what you paid for in tuition costs and for some reason there’s no outrage. Just the fact that colleges offer courses in Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift lyrics is all you need to know about colleges robbing dumb kids taking out loans for school they can never pay back. If you’re gonna go to college pick something that can lead to a good paying job - not this bullshit.
My cousin went to Princeton for something music related and graduated over 15 years ago and she’s still living at home with my aunt working low paying music jobs and will never be able to move out / live on her own. Of course her longtime boyfriend / fiancé also lives with her at my aunts house because he also got a music related degree from Princeton and can only get low wage jobs stocking grocery shelves. But they got college degrees!

I’m surprised that people are laying the blame for Bill’s unfathomably bad situation on his English degree. There are many ways to spin that degree into a decent living, though to be fair you will not be “working in your field” in any of them.
I think this is more of a Bill issue (hehe like “skill issue”) than Bill’s choice of degree. Bill seems a little dumb and maybe starstruck at the opportunity to work for a “legend,” off the top of my head.

True. It's a degree which is useful for doctorates such as Juris Doctor, and many lawyers have English as their minors. However, assholes like these spend their entire lives calling themselves "academics" and existing solely on college campuses helping rack up the student loan debts of dumb kids with their overpriced and useless courses.
