He was really the first comic to make a legit, interesting podcast on his own. Of course Rogan passed him immediately. But Maron should put his bitterness aside for one second and focus on being less of an unlikeable guy.
The only time I ever sided with him on anything was when Jon Stewart blew off his invite and then used it as a soapbox to denigrate Maron. The Jew got Jewed by an even bigger Jew. That was, in my recollection, the only moment of note at this point in the history of his podcast except the Louis drama.
I feel bad that his girl killed herself. That sucks. But maybe don't try to marry mentally ill women 30 years younger than you because you hate yourself. Just some advice.

2. Interviewing Carlos Mencia about the joke theft and believing him, then interviewing the comedians he stole jokes from, then interviewing Mencia again to confront him on all of it twice. That was genuinely good

Maron is a disrespectful, bitter jerkoff but his stand up is actually pretty good, to me. I've liked all his specials I've seen and even the old TV sets before he had the hipster mustache and he was just a regular jew in a bowling shirt.

His podcast really was something for a while. I used to listen all the time, even watched his IFC show and his specials. He just couldn’t keep it rolling with the times which is fine. He’s too Gen-X and that entire mentality has zero appeal with young millennials and Gen Z.
