Set on the eve of World War I, the novel follows an ordinary man who becomes entangled in a dangerous plot after a mysterious stranger shows up at his apartment, claiming to be a spy. It's not yet WW2 where the BASED AND REDPILLED NAZIS arrive vgggh, so 1/10.

I remember there's a pretty big coincidence where the guy is on the run and ends up at someone's house who just so happens to be the big boss bad guy. #oopsiedoodles
