Pat is clearly a sleeper academic. Full ride for life and he’s in school and teaching every day. For what purpose, I’m not sure. For the record, I have $15k in student loan debt. If they forgive it, I'm obviously not giving the money back out of principle.
That said, they should not forgive it. Graduates in 2009 faced a similar market downturn, albeit without this inflation; however, there is also a hiring FRENZY right now. Industry recruiters like my sister's bf are making $50k a month. There's no justification to forgive student loans. People should work and pay them off.

There's a word for deadbeats who squeal for benefits they don't need: piggers.
