My line of demarcation is when people change their views to completely align with once side or only devote time to impressing that side. To answer your question, I'd put George Conway, Steve Schmidt, and Rick Wilson in that category. Their business model became performing for the left rather that being a standard bearer for their genuine views.
And a good example of someone who took unexpected views that adapted to the times without changing everything about how he presents himself to the public is George Will. He isn't an anti-Trump bomb thrower, but he didn't vote for the guy. And most of his editorials and TV appearances since revolve around libertarianism, not "That's right, folks. I'm Biden all the fucking way!" like a lot of these professional apostates have.

Both sides over on your land have fellaters that would die on a sword rather than just admit their affiliation isn't perfect and should still be under scrutiny and held to a standard. It's like that over here too and it's mortifying.

It's not hard to be good human beings and try to help your fellow man, while also not raping them of all the money they make and wasting those funds on questionable things. But this is also why I never got into government, going back to my school days, it seemed far more fucked up than the music industry.
