Modern cashiers deserve to get paid jack shit. Barely anybody pays in cash any more, but if they're handed cash the machine tells them what the change is. The majority of transactions are tap and go.

Working a McJob is SUPPOSED to be an entry level job for teenagers. You shouldn’t have any major expenses since you should still be living with your parents. Again, if you’re in your 30’s and still working a drive thru, you fail at life.

And you do realize that there is a dearth of jobs? I don't even know how many stories I've read from people who studied something they were told there was an endless need for only for every job listing to get hundreds if not thousands of applicants while they end up mopping the floors somewhere.
This just seems like corporate bootlicking. McDonalds made 26 billion last year alone but God forbid they pay their workers. Because you deem the job below you, those workers should be taken advantage of.

I agree. The workers have all been turned against each other. My former employers were charging 5 times my wage to clients and some punks actually argue "they need to make profit" Fuck Ebeneezer Scrooge advocates.

Go look at a mcdonalds video from the 70s or 80s. There's about 20 people working there at a time and most look like they're in their 40's. Hardly any kids working there. They must have been able to support their families or at least contribute a good amount then.

I have a cousin in her 50s who is a Walmart cashier. She literally refers to it as her "career" and it's all she fucking talks about. It drives everyone insane and it's hard to bite my tongue. Like, all your coworkers are kids who only stick around for a couple years max. What does that tell you? Unless people have a full cart, they prefer to use the self checkout. What does that tell you? She only started working once her kids were both grown so she can pretend that she's contributing to the household and she takes it seriously to the point that it'd be laughable if it wasn't so annoying. She posts deals and shit on Facebook like fucking Walmart needs her help with promotion.
