It's hard to find movies with original premises, and this surely is one. A couple keeps their three children on the grounds of their house for their entire lives. They're told lies about the outside world to keep them from trying to leave. It leaves them emotionally stunted. They play games like knocking themselves out with anesthetic. The one who wakes up first, wins. The trailer makes it seem like a comedy, but it's actually really fucking sad.

Great movie. Really enjoyed how the only view of the outside world those kids got was watching movies. The Lobster is also good (same director) even if the second half kinda falls flat.

You don't get enough movies like this anymore, movies with strong Father figures and tight-knit families, featuring obedient children who don't have some sassy nonsense to say.
