This show aired in 1997, it presented as a detective / crime / physcolgically forensic show, but that was just a trojan horse to discuss politics, racism, the changing culture of Britain, liberal hypocrisy, etc... It's fucking awesome!

Very apt in light of current UK troubles. It's possibly 3 episodes totalling 1.5 hours (sorry zoomers)... just snuggle-up with ur partner & enjoy some prophetic darkness from 1997 - but well written & composed.
Some of Jimmy Mcgovern's best writing if you ask me.

It's been removed from youtube, so if anyone finds it then link me here... we could even do a watch-along.

It's good shit!

I've had it on my watchlist for way too long. I'm a fan of McGovern's other work, the Sean Bean and Stephen Graham episode of Accused is so good. Oh shit, I just realized that they reunited in McGovern's latest show, Time.

Good man! it is fucking awesome... watching the whole series in-order you manage to get the (sometimes subtle) sub-plots.
It's great even just watching one episode, they mostly stand alone.
Obviously the one in this thread seemed topical to the current UK situation.

But yes, quality show.
