If 9/11 were to happen in this day and age, would it even seem like a big deal?

When 9/11 happened, it was one of the biggest events in American history. Any attack on America was unfathomable to people and when you go back and see how people reacted to it, you can tell life used to be so fucking easy back then.
It seems like if it happened now people would hardly be shocked. The covid clown world, tons of mass shootings have occurred since then, trannies running amok. People have sort of just accepted that the world is fucked up and nothings shocking anymore. People would forget about it in a week and we’d be right back to pronouns

Every generation has their bullshit. Boomers thought the world was ending with Watergate, Vietnam, and half a dozen assasinations. Before that, people had the World Wars. 1800s USA niggas had the Civil War. See what I mean?

9/11 was a bad day at the office compared to some of history's darkest days.

It would be different in the sense they no longer have a full monopoly on information. Also if you were to apply modern standards we probably wouldn’t go to war so swiftly. I hate the government and peoples acceptance of it, but I have to admit people have gotten better about it. Especially now with this COVID shit. Sure there’s Fat Ricks of the world but Twitter isn’t real. There’s a lot of people who are way more skeptical of everything. There’s real independent journalism and indisputable evidence of events. Not just what they show us. Everyone has a voice even if it’s sometimes retarded. Things are getting better brothermen!

TL;DR: I’m a complete faggot.

The hysteria of 9/11 was just that: hysteria. It was "Is America under attack?" "Is the West under attack?" "Where will the next one be?" "Why is anthrax being spread around?" (Remember that shit?)

In the grand scheme of it all, 9/11 has nothing on earthquakes throughout history. 100x more Americans die from obesity per year than died in 9/11.

If it happened somewhere in the Midwest, people would have stopped caring so much after a year or so. But because it happened in NEW YAWK BRO, because it threatened the safety of wealthy Manhattanite scum, that's why it mattered more. "I'm a multi-millionaire! It's not fair that I don't feel safe! That's why I avoid black people like the plague and make fun of rednecks for being racist!"
