Niki on the other hand - if things are not going their way, and they have not secured an attorney to work pro bono for them and get the judgement debt overturned - she might have to go on one of these podcasts and put on some crocodile tears. They can't. Their best option was to fight it when it first came to Wisconsin, and they didn't; so now it's stuck to them like the crotch on Nikki's tights. Further, Nikki and Pat have signed an agreement to pay it (the amortization agreement), so Quasi's got their agreement to pay the money in writing.

As for Nikki feeling relief while Pat's in jail.... that just means she's got to pay off the debt by herself, plus the cost of Pat's incarceration.

Apparently it stops proceedings for three months; so they were literally just dragging it out... which not only looks just great in a contempt hearing, but it also racks up a little more interest for Quasi.

It's a top-notch move.
