Inane boomers keep FB afloat. I follow a few faggot hobbyist pages on there & they have the same redundant arguments daily. OK EVERYONE, NEIL PEART VS JOHN BONHAM?? (Same shit they've been talking about since the 70s) & it will instantly have thousands of Brother Joe's arguing the same tired observations. NO, BUT I LIKE HIM BETTER, YOU'RE WRONG:image_9247:

Or how about your cunt aunt's profile with the same picture of herself 75 times, each with a different "support current thing" banner applied?

The internet was irreparably destroyed when women, boomers, & foreigners were allowed access.

yeah how is thing i personally don't use that still has billions of active users popular? whycome no use?

nigga according to a 2019 census 300k people in the US still used dial up internet.

Serious answer is user data is the most valuable currency for internet companies. Lets say you spend 10 million on ads. You get a conversion rate of 10% and 1 million impressions (impressions are views of your ads basically). so customers aquired are 1million * 10% = 100k customers acquired on 10 million spend. your Customer acquisition costs is ~ 10 million / 100k = $100 to acquire a customer.

Facebook sells your shitty company the data it mined from its users. you use that data to better target the ads and now you have a 30% conversion rate. now you get 300k customers from the same 10mil spend. your CaC is now $33.33. You can see how this would scale. Even a few dollars in reduction of CaC can be the difference in the margins you need to succeed or fail as a business.

It's cheaper to acquire users on FB so advertisers spend more money there. Definitely the most advertiser friendly platform for over a decade. The amount of money that businesses of all sizes spend on there is absurd, a great portion of them are as dependent on it as they are Google. "Facebook is dying!" No, not so.

Facebook is like a community bulletin board now. You use it to see if the town is rescheduling the fireworks because it's raining, or what the big traffic holdup was over there on Main and First Street this morning. It's lost most of its cultural relevance, for what it's worth. Twitter is much worse, as people still pretend it's a vital communication cog and not mostly just a megaphone for the friendless and disaffected. Hopefully gay Elon Musk ruins it soon and we move on to the next thing already.

Considering how easily Brother Joe got drawn in by that $19.99 Chinese guitar ad they must be doing well. Boomers have never heard of adblock & will probably call you a communist for suggesting it or decide it's not worth the $200 to have Geeksquad install it.

anyone remember Obama told Twitter to keep the lights on for some middle East revolution 10 years ago? I used to think it was weird as shit why would you want to be involved in any of that shit. As for Facebook remember how they were bragging about that they manipulated the 2020 election?

It really doesn't matter if your website makes money if it's one of the top websites in the world trafficwise. You can sell advertising and do other random shit that twitter does all the time tie-ins with other companies, etc.

Well as we see time and time again, with dopes like Pat, social media is dangerously addictive. So the junkie can't pay for a while, spot him some shit, he'll pay up soon, if not, you can probably call in a favor.
