Haver of correct opinions. Eater of (way too many) tacos and (way too much) key lime pie.

Something about the word "author" and the words "correct opinion" adjacent to each other. It bugs me.

I guess he decides what words mean.

Then again, I guess if you zoom out, "Science Fiction author" and "haver of correct opinions" seem to be a bit dissonant too, no? The latter sounds like something out of real, classic sci-fi. And not a good thing to be.
Opinions by defintion are not truth apt and can't be correct. He thinks he's being cheeky, but all that really says is "I'm an author who doesn't know how words work"

He probably should have done a little more research on British slang.

His approach to language disgusts me. He doesn't have this attitude because he's diligently learned the rules and finds joy in exploiting them in interesting ways. He just thinks that because most of the rules are too complex for him to intuit they must not really apply. All he had to do is parrot a handful of 10 dollar words in the wrong context and that makes him the president of OuLiPo.
