I was worried I was going to get a DWI going through a checkpoint yesterday because I couldn’t get back on the thruway in time so I had to go down a busy road. I already burned my freebie so I can’t afford to get in trouble again. Happy New Year brothermen.

Glad you made it brothaman. It's a scary feeling. I burned through my freebie in 2014 and my father was immediately talking about what to do on the next one (he had several). My lawyer wanted to take it to trial because at that time all breathalyzer tests in Massachusetts were thrown out in court due to the devices not being calibrated. I wasn't going to risk the 15 days in jail for the reckless driving charge though. (My lawyer didn't even know there was a minimum sentence on that, the judge had to tell me)

If you don’t crash into anything that’s breakable or anyone then you really shouldn’t get in legal trouble. My grandfather hit like 10 mailboxes sober and apparently I’m a criminal for hitting one guardrail. Long story short, they shouldn’t have tazed me.

I had absolutely no business driving the night I got arrested and have no memory of it besides telling the State Trooper my grandfather was a cop. Also per the police report I greeted the trooper with "Good Evening, Ossifer. The DA's assistant made sure to emphasize that when reading the arrest report.

That’s not really a true story. I got mine in the morning and refused to blow because I just figured I’d just skip the trial and never drive in that state again. Would have blown under the limit and gotten it knocked down. I’ve also driven blackout drunk hundreds of times (grew up in a rural area) and the worst thing that happened to me wasn’t so bad.
