I haven't got into the ETS yet as I am still kinda pissed over getting nickle and dimed over completing the current ATS map. Any idea if the two engines are a bit different?

Yeah (the whole continental USA isn't in the map yet but all the west coast states up to Arkansas are) - in small doses it's amazing beautiful to be driving around the desert just after the sun is sets and you start to hear the midnight express music playing. Mel's hole was the first mp3 I added when I got that game.

The over all goal I guess would be to max $$ as there is a bit of a simulation side to it. You can buy garages to store the vehicles you own, while also hiring drivers to run them so you can make a bit of cash on the side but its rather rudimentary. Can play both online and off but I get the most fun out of it by getting online and running the same job as others in a large convoy as sooner or later someone will have an accident and everyone gets to laugh and call that person a swift driver.
It is rather relaxing and no game I ever played made time move as fast as this one has, tho not sure if that is a plus or minus.
