Wok 88 on 3rd Ave & 88th street if you want american style chinese food. It's nothing fancy at but the food is good.

If you want more authentic chink food, then Tasty Dumpling on Mulberry st. What part of the city are you staying in?
I’m in jersey rn but will be touring da city in a day or two, wanted to get the brotherman recommendation for somewhere awesome to eat. Thanks, have a good one

Panda Express makes some simply exquisite egg rolls.
Get some egg roll wrappers (or won ton wrappers to make mini egg rolls) from the supermarket, and make better ones than you get from chinese takeout. Bacon cheeseburger, buffalo chicken, pulled pork, teriyaki shrimp and rice- just mix up a bunch of filling, spoon into the wrappers and throw them in an air fryer. The mini ones make good appetizers for parties

Honestly if you're in any Chinatown just go where they all go and it looks like they don't want you there, order pork or chicken, steer clear from beef unless it's one of those northwest Chinese Muslim spots (If you're in Manhattan Chinatown check out Xi'an Famous Foods on 45 Bayard St), that's worth trying but it's nothing like Chinese Chinese food it's completely separate.
