Also a major false equivalency. Not just because what he experiences is nowhere near a rape or a murder. Lets say a murder or rape has been inconclusively proven. DNA at the crime scene matched to the accused. The accused confesses to the crime and pleads guilty. Of course at that point theres really no reason to get the murderers “side” because theres nothing to contest; they’re a murderer. The most they get of “their side” is their testimony and closing statement (forgetting the actual word)

But in the case of Patrick this isn’t open and shut. It’s not like there’s conclusive evidence linking Dan or Admin to any crimes. They haven’t confessed to any, never been booked for any, etc. They continue to plead their innocence. So yes in that case of course that side gets to tell their story so someone can figure out what the hell is going on here. And of course it would be the same situation with the previously described murderer if they never confessed and plead not guilty. They would get an alibi / account of where they were on that night, any relation to the victim, their past and if theres any criminal history etc…aka THEIR SIDE OF THE STORY!!
